Correspondence Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Connection

Steve Bannon
Bannon was one of the former president's top advisers before stepping down from the administration in August 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK to deliver a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. The BBC has been able to establish his identity by matching the timeline, events, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest aides in the lead-up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a aide.

A short time prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in 2018.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled UK prime minister at the period, he added: "They are attempting to move on. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Best-- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the people here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those referenced Trump, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was initially charged.
